GOBankingRates spoke with a mechanic and truck expert who listed three pickup trucks they would never buy and explained why they’re not worth it.
3. Ford F-150 (2018)
“The 2018 F-150 might be the ugliest Ford truck on the list [and] Unfortunately, it also seems to be the least functioning mechanical part.
“Transmission issues seem to be plaguing the 2018 Ford F-150,” Mazurkiewicz explained. “[This] Not only does it affect the driver’s relaxation and safety, but if the problem is not resolved, it may be costly. There are various reports claiming […] Early stalling and engine failure. Ecological facilitation models appear to be most affected by this.
“There’s no denying that the F-150 looks good. Unfortunately, the 2018 model has too many issues, whether it’s transmission failure or downshifting. No one likes to compromise, especially when making a purchase like this,” Mazurkiewicz concluded.

2. Chevrolet Silverado 1500 (2019)
Mazurkiewicz said the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado does have an attractive and reasonably attractive appearance, but the model has one major flaw: its dynamic fuel management system.
“While the system is designed to increase efficiency by utilizing a variety of fuels, many people who own vehicles equipped with the system say they have had horrific experiences with misfires and lift failures,” Mazurkiewicz explained.
“To add insult to injury, lift replacement and repairs began at [the] Thousands of them [turns] Buying this model is a gamble. “If you’re someone who likes to buy value for money, multiple complaints about interior quality and technical glitches will make it hard to sell it.”
1. Nissan Titan(2020)
Mazurkiewicz said the 2020 Titan “…for some reason, despite its lower entry-level price than some competitors, its reliability scores aren’t as high.
“The nine-speed automatic transmission had shifting issues and was severely inconsistent, resulting in a very poor driving experience,” Mazurkiewicz noted. “On top of that, it didn’t have as much towing and payload capacity compared to its segment competitors, so This is not a good choice for those who are looking for a real workhorse.”
